Refund Terms & Policy

This Refund Terms & Policy applies to all payments made to Shanmuga through our website, mobile application, or at our facility.


1. Appointment Cancellation & Refunds

a) OPD / Doctor Appointments

  • If an appointment is cancelled by the patient at least [24/12] hours before the scheduled time, a full refund will be processed.

  • Cancellations made after this period or no-shows are non-refundable.

  • If the hospital or doctor cancels the appointment, a full refund will be issued.


2. Online Consultation (Telemedicine)

  • Refunds are applicable only if the consultation has not started.

  • Once the online consultation is completed or partially conducted, no refund will be provided.

  • Technical issues caused from the hospital’s side will be reviewed and may be eligible for a refund.


3. Diagnostic Tests & Health Packages

  • Cancellations requested before sample collection are eligible for a refund.

  • No refunds will be issued after sample collection or test initiation.

  • Health packages once started are non-refundable and non-transferable.


4. In-Patient Services (IPD)

  • Advance payments for hospital admission are refundable after deduction of applicable service charges, based on services already availed.

  • Room charges, consumables, and medical services already provided are non-refundable.


5. Surgery & Procedures

  • Surgery advance payments are refundable if cancelled before [X] days of the scheduled date.

  • Cancellations after this period may incur cancellation charges.

  • Refund eligibility depends on pre-operative expenses already incurred.


6. Payment Gateway Charges

  • Any payment gateway or bank transaction charges are non-refundable.

  • Refunds will be processed using the original payment method.


7. Refund Processing Time

  • Approved refunds will be processed within [7–14] business days.

  • The time taken for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.


8. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided for:

  • Missed appointments (no-shows)

  • Services already availed

  • Emergency services

  • Medical consumables and medicines

  • Administrative or registration fees

  • Provide appointment ID, payment reference, and reason for cancellation

  • Refunds are subject to verification and approval
